I loved reading about yo...What an awesome summary! I loved reading about your vacation in Egypt! I love Egyptian art and I dream about the splendor of the pyramids but the closest I'll ever get most likely is the Sackler Wing's enclosed courtyard at the MET.
Wow, thanks for all the tips about planning a vacation and what to bring, what to do and what not to do. Budget trips can be lots of fun. I once went on an escorted budget tour to Czech Republic, Hungary, Austria, and Germany. I remember not being ecstatic about my accommodations in Prague (I had trouble figuring out how to shower) and I didn't like my room very much but of all the trips I've taken (either budget or first class in 5 star hotels) I have never enjoyed a breakfast as much as the one I had in Prague. It was so great I still talk about it. I'd love to go back to Prague just for the breakfasts! Actually Prague was fascinating & I loved seeing the Astrological Clock.
I love all the details of your blog entry about your trip and yes, it is good to let people know that things can go wrong. I once stayed at the Tamarind Cove in Barbados. My aunt had made arrangements with a travel agent that someone was supposed to pick me and my cousin up, no one came to meet us at the airport and I had to pay for a taxi to bring us to the hotel. The Tamarind resort was really nice but we didn't have a car or means of seeing any other parts of Barbados -- the resort gave me so many included alcoholic drinks that it didn't matter *laugh* I'm so glad I had my cousin for a chaperon (she told me when she thought I had drank enough)*LOL*Rhiannahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14174401177589362094noreply@blogger.com
